FAO 197 owners!

Couple of quick questions!

If a car states it has the 'cup pack' does that mean it comes with the chassis or just the brembos and anth wheels?

Also do all FF cars come with folding mirrors or was that an option also?

Yep, anthricite alloys, red Brembos, and 7mm lower/stiffer suspension. Thats all a cup pack is

Dunno. People rave about it on here, but in the flesh it has a brownish tinge. UK is too dull to bring out the sparkle imo.....
 
As others have said. Although, I test drove a Nimbus R27 before I bought mine. Nice colour yeah, but Gaz is right it's too dull here to see the sparkle, and coming from a LY you'll find it doesn't quite grab the attention LY does. As LY only comes on the R27 and the stickers look gash against it (IMO) go for a different colour. But defo get a regular with the cup chassis, etc.

I wont go LY again Rebecca because of the attention it got and the fact i was too much of a pansy with it! I would like something now that isnt too over the top and blends in slightly more!

Found anything you like yet?
 
Red is a really, really nice colour in the 197. Albi has a certain appeal too. Seb had a nimbus 197, it was nice and if you want to blend in you certainly will in that. :)

red is amazing, but needs cup pack to look amazing, i had a standard one and it was 7/10 rather than 9.5/10 with cup

simoxmino's is nice, but its his camera skills that do it, really, its the same as every other nimbus. Still a nice colour, it was my 3rd choice:)
 
I tested a nimbus and agree with all of the above - too dull for UK!

Bought me a red one, but I'd love to have a LY one!
 
Nimbus is the best colour, but then I am biased. Looks the nuts when clean. I can see the appeal of LY or Red but they are a little flash for my liking. Nimbus makes the car look grown up and shows off its lines well. Looks good in cup form or standard.

As usual, it all depends on what you want from your car.

Haha - Why!? I havnt said im getting one but that one posted does look very nice! :cool:

As with all colours you will get people who love one and people that hate the same! In my many years of owning a LY there was just as many that said they disliked it (especially on here) to ones that said that said they liked it!

I dont perosnally see the attraction to Albi or Ultra but as already stated in here there are a few that like those colours too.
 
Have to plus one on the red. That nimbus only looks good as it's lathered in sunshine and snazzy camera techniques.
 
Mine. :approve: I went for Albi but I did want Nimbus, decided against it due to the slight dullness of it.

I cant get into Albi or Ultra but as said its all about personally preference.

Black is too boring for me. And scratch/swirl heaven.

I swear kids (people in general) see a black car and purposely try to damage it!
 
Mine had fold in mirrors, always used to think of it as a bit of a gimmick, but handy when parking on roads etc!

Electric folding mate. I think the 197/200 shape needs to be in quite a bright colour to show off the lines of it :cool:
 
Also, if you're gonna talk about red 197's, then a pic of the BurnsMobile is compulsory.

^Very nice admitedly but they dont all look that good do they!? lol

As for the Black same story really! I looked at a couple of boggo 197's in the colour yesterday at a dealer and they looked average at best i thought.
