Andy, having read your comments about not fitting the feed to the Vipers intake mouth, would this principle apply to the standard air box as well ie. remove the hose that runs from behind the headlight but leave it sat near the air box intake.

tested with and without. more power without.... ( changes the intake length ) and adds nasty bends and poor walled tube to the air flow...

yeah but remember mr Cutler, that was a static test on a RR, IMO results would be different in a real world scenario

I agree with Fred, you cannot compare a fan to a car doing 60+ mph on a road.

Just my opinion. Too many bad bends would not be good though obviously.

If your cold air feed pipe is located in a good place it shouldnt make much of a difference if its connected or not because its still feeding the IK with at least 98% of the same cold air.

If your cold air feed pipe is blasting out loads a cold air and is as near as poss to the front of the IK the Induction kit would suck it up anyway.

Another way to look at it is if you connect the IK up the only cold air feed supply your gonna get is from the air feed cos its the only way cold air can be fed into it, where as if its pointing at it at it you'll get about the same amount of cold air plus any air that comes up through the engine.

Engines dont get too warm when out on the open road anyway. Its standing in traffic that the heat builds

Only thing to do if your unsure is to try it connected and disconnected and see which works best for you.
