FAO ANyone who's had their alloys refurbed professionally

I'm going to have my alloys refurbed very soon, but I have a quick question regarding treating them afterwards.
My alloys will be completely refurbed, including spraying. My question is, do they have to be left for a while for the paint/sealant to cure or anything like that after?
So can you drive in, and drive out with the alloys being fully sealed etc to the s**t weather we're having at the moment?

I ask only because when I sprayed my badges, the lacquer took a good week or so to fully cure. I just wouldnt mind knowing if Im going to be without a car for a week or so after having them refurbed

if there done properly then they will be baked in the bodyshops oven, if so you can treat them as you would normally, i wouldnt use harsh cutting compound/polish on them as they wont need it and may still be a bit fresh.

I had mine redone and just washed them in warm soapy water, and after a few months when they got a bit dirty (tar) i polished them up and carried on.

any paint work is the same be it body, wheels , badges, you need to bake the paint/laquer or you need to leave it to harden over days/weeks (dependant on the weather.

I left mine for a couple of days then treated them to SRP, EGP and a coating of poorboys.

If they've been powdercoated then they'll not need any treatment as the ovens they use are more than enough to dry them off.

If you want to help protect it you could try a bit polish to make cleaning a bit easier but it's not needed

Yeh Ive got EGP and Chemical Guys wheel sealant, but I wasnt sure if I needed to leave them anyway.
