FAO anyone with Alpine HU in 172/182

  Black Gold 182
anyone else had problems getting the HU in due to all the wires etc.
i ahev bought the stalk adaptor aswell which means even more wires. but i cant seem to push the HU in far enough due to all the wires. My alpine HU has 3 sets of RCA leads etc

and ideas ? i managed to force one side in....but the other was about 5mm off...and wouldnt budge!

  Polo + Micra
they are a pain in the arse to get into the dash especially those with the DC-DC converter

yeah had the same problem with my alpine...befor you push the head unit completely in stick yr hand through the hole and try and push most of the cabling down thos side holes...in the clio ther is this pillar in the middle of the way at the back of the head unit....if there are any wires between the back of the box and the pillar it dont click into place...hence the 5mm sticking out on yrs...

I must have pulled had it in and out 15 or so times before I managed to get the wire out of the way and the unit in okay.

try pushng the aerial lead to the right - it has to come right across the back of the stereo and caused me loads of hassle. also then try and push the rest of the wires in to the gap on the left and down of the cage - good luck

I had trouble with my pioneer one in the clio , solution take of the top dash and you can move the wires dead easy down to the side (i was fiiting components at the same time so the dash was already off and it only takes 10 min to take it off)
