Overheating, possible head gasket failure, probably a few other niggles.. Worth throwing a £500 offer at him?

Will just be to fix mayb use for a while the sell on for small (If possible) profit...

If its overheated It'll quite possibly need a new engine.

Essentially, the head gasket blows due to overheating, the head warps, the aluminum in the block weakens - causing the head bolts to pull out of the block, usually permanently damaging it.

Personally, id give it a wide berth, esp With all those M badges & the 5 series alloys ... Looks like an utter money pit imho.

Fair point dave.... I can get an engine cheap but im not sure if its worth it for the time id be keeping it etc... plus there is no fun in an engine swap like there is stripping it down :rasp:

If you got a cheap new block, some better wheels and removed the badges, you could probably earn a few quid off of it and enjoy it whilst you're there.

The vehicle is in Excellent Condition ... It recently to started to overheat and thats the reason why im selling it , it also needs two rear springs and a New battery, thats it

So apart from a mark on the bodywork, a new engine, new springs and a new battery, it's excellent.
