FAO BRUN/Anyone RE: Polishing!

BRUN: "you should be looking at £30 worth of bottled stuff minimum, and then you need a big bucket, a good sponge, and definitely a chamois.......you need a chamois, also polish applicator, buffing cloths and some good terry towels"

Just about to do my car properly for the first time, can you tell me what the terry towelling is for please?!

CHEERS!!

terry towellings like a towel, they make nappys out of it I think. Make sure you use clean nappys tho cos semi digested cow&gate dont look good on yer paintwork

i use em to dry my wheels before i apply wheel coating

also for taking off the excess tyre gel aswell, perfect for that

can also be used for buffing, however dont buy some cheap ones, get some Meguiars or Zymol ones...

to dry, best way:

Terry Towling, place on water lift (dont move it about!)

microfibre then over the remaining small bits of water

Cheers guys..

Didnt get to wax/polish it today, just a wash, I ran out of daylight!

Ill tackle it tomorrow bright and early (as long as it is bright!!) :)

I use the microfibers for removing the polish too.... they do the job a treat... Oh and if you only polish the car in straight lines front to back ie not in cirlcles.... you wont get those tiny cob webby looking scratch marks...

yea microfibre cloths are great, but, try a Zymol one, there a million times better than any other ive used

i really cant use the others i own now cos i know there not as good as the Zymol one...
