FAO: peeps with Panny Viera's...

Hearing alot of things about running it with reduced colour/contrast settings to begin with for the first 200 hrs... anyone actually do this?

I know its mostly myth but for peace of mind ;)

I opted to run at reduced settings for 200 hours, not sure if it helps or not to be honest. AV Forums has a thread dedicated to this subject.

My parents have had one (non hd) for 3 years and never run it in, no problems with it at all.

I ran mine in... 200 hours.

Its a little dark when you use the recommended settings .. but its hardly too dark to see anything lol

My folks had one setup by the panasonic shop (the place they got their tv from are really nice guys) and don't think they've ever had to change anything, or run it in. Must have had it a year now and it still looks amazing.

I ran mine in for 200 hours on really quite low settings (about a 3rd on contrast and brightness). Annoying but it withstood a few 8hr plus gaming sessions. Picture was always perfect for me afterwards. i'll be doing the same with my next one.
