Wiring, seems that you have to use half the volvo loom and half the clio original loom. And swap sensors between the blocks.

Just had a thought

if i used the clio Rsi loom that i have (rather than my standard Rt loom)

Most of the sensor should (maybe????) fit??

The Volvo uses a MAF sensor and th eclio uses a map, so you sadly just can't just use the rsi loom.

the volvo loom modified is what you want.

You need to use the ren oil and temp senders to get the dash working correctly. The rest stay volvo but you need to splivce the wires to the clios brown plug on the nearside wing. Ecu is in a different place but thats not a big problem.

Ok cool. Another problem was that the volvo loom didnt seem to have all the sensors on it which confused us as there were some extra sensors and some missing :S Do we just use the Clio sensors for teh missing ones?

REN lump

ecu senders

AIT,
CTS,
TDC,
Lambda,
TPS,
MAP,
road speed (this is taken from the dash and goes via loom alone on the smaller grey plug beside the big brown one to the dash)

ecu outputs

ignition module,
injectors,
charcoal canister solenoid,
icv
fuel pump switch wire (to relay)

dash sender gear

ignition module,
temp gauge,
water light'
oil pressure light,
alt light (brown plug on alt)
oil level

Volvo

all the above but add MAF
oil temp,
oil pressure

basically.

Engine will be about 160 at the fly (maybe slightly more) SHOULD BE OK.

haha, I'm not going to go into that much. Basically the 1.4 isn't insured and the 16v keeps going wrong. I had my dads mondeo with me instead.
