Just had a very pleasant trip to Dales Renault in Cornwall :)

Anyway to cut a long story short, I need a new washer jet bottle, Are they covered by warrenty, my cars reg March 02. If not how much will a new one cost??

Thanx

Mine was replaced under warranty whilst the car was still under its 1st year warranty, would think it is still covered.

Just rung Renault....Why is the first question always, "Did you buy the car from us?" (will that affect the price???) Nope, but youve had plenty of my hard erned cash!!

Back to the point...they sed it will cost £19.48 plus VAT, so not the end of the world!!!

Is this yet another common Renault problem coz of all the cars Ive owned, Ive never had to replace the washer bottle before?!

As I said, popped into Dales Renault to find the problem, but forgot to ask how much...Watched them take it appart, they had to remove the wipers to get to it!!!

It might only cost £19.48+ but theyll want a shed load more to fit it!!!

Overheard my dealer tell a customer £65 per/hr!!! and warranty work £39!!!

daylight robbery if you ask me.

Still waiting for Renault dealer to get me the part... I e-mailed Ren UK customer services and asked them if it was covered by warranty, this was their reply;

Dear Ms Jones

Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding your Renault Clio.

If the washer bottle has been damaged this will not be covered by the
warranty, it will also not be covered if the split is a result of wear and
tear. If this is a manufacturing issue then it may be covered by the
warranty, however as we do not process the warranty claims and cannot see
the vehicle we are unable to advise fully from this department. Every
dealership has access to a warranty clerk who can speak to our Warranty
processing department to clarify this issue for you.

I hope that I have answered your question. (erm...NO!!!) If you have any other enquiries
please feel free to contact me at Renault Customer Services.

With kind regards
