Hows ur Clio 16v that shinny mate? What polish/wax did u use for ur gallery pics? Looks awesome. Its not the pearl black though is it so it probably looks more shiney than mine anyway?

Thanx

Hi mikey,

As far as i know mate, all black phase 2s had the pearlescent treatment. The day i took those pictures i had spent the "whole" day polishing it with a product called " Autoglym *something* polish " in my school days i used to work for a valet company that had contracts to valet all lexus IS200 & SLKs from the factory. Its there i found out about this autogylm stuff.... its good sh*t. Also i have one of those electric automated polishers that spin like the clappers! saves alot of bleeding of the hands.

The car was so shiny on that day that the light from the sky was reflecting on the camera and kinda messed up the picture. It looks alot better in real life, those pictures dont really do it any justice!

if you are looking to get your car clean, invest in a bottle of autoglym polish and some turtle wax to seal it after.

any questions, just ask... us black valver owners need to stick together ;)

Ive got a few little paint chips on the bonnet. Do i use chip stick before or after polish & wax? Sounds like hard work, is polishing wax crap then? Cheers.

I thought urs was the phase 1 cause of the alloys.

Black= bit*h to keep clean!

That chavy behind my car is ME!! And fnck no that aint a burberry cap!!!

........Tis a corduroy Quiksilver one!!

As for our little duel:

a) I was 3 up as well!!

b) YOU DIDNT DO ME!!

c) i got back to basildon first!! ;)

And yes black is a b**ch to clean! BUT i do still bother every saturday!

Couldnt possibly comment on your cleaning schedule Nick......but i guess its irrelevant seein as youd be polishing a turd!! ;)

I can reliably inform u that turds can shine - I used colour wax on the bonnet of the Astra only a week ago!

God I was bored...

black = *once clean* looks the nuts.

It is hard work, but if you love your car you will enjoy it!! You need to seal the polish with a wax mikey otherwise your hard work will go to waste in a few weeks as it has no protect against UV light, dirt, rain etc... If you want to save some time, buy one of these electric polishers..

P.S mines is a Phase 2, as you say has Phase 1 alloys.

  Audi TT Stronic

Thats a tidy 205 GTi, I have owned 2 of them in the past.. neither looked as nice as that one..

Wasnt she a beauty! Miami Blue special edition - Full Grey Leather - Electrics - Power Steering...

Shame she didnt run that well... had some dodgy idling issues...

Rockport described my driving style as "Riverdance on the pedals" when I was slowing down and keeping the engine running...

Other than that (and being a pain in the @rse to work on) I loved her dearly!

P.S - I used Turtle Wax Sampoo - Autoglym bumper black - and Halford Alloy spray. No need for polish cos the paint was soooooo good! ;)
