Fastchip - No more Clio 2 downloads?

My RSTuner just arrived in the mail, and I went onto the Fastchip site to look at the OEM and performance calibrations. Much to my surprise, I couldn't find the Clio 2 files in either section.

I hope it's just a temporary error (maybe they are updating the website?) as I've just bought an used RSTuner!

What software is your 172 running? If it's a 6400, i can send you an oem update and 98RON performance file.

I'm still not sure as I send the money today to a CS member here...minutes before seeing this thread!
Arent's the maps locked to a specific car?

I hope to god that this is just a mistake as I'm just about to try and sell a rs tuner, although could still sell it to a megane owner I suppose, is there a meganesport.net lol?

i have literally just gone on fastchips website to buy one and there is no option to buy a cb22 or any Clio 2 on there at all?!!

then i stumbled upon this thread... i hope its an error!!

He was stopping the rs tuners for Clio 2 owners but still said there would be support for all owners of current rs tuner owners, has anyone tried emailing, always seemed helpful for me and rapid reply as well.

1 other question if you have the older style one can you still sell it and use it on other cars like the megane or Clio 3

Who are you talking to? Use quotes so we know. If that was aimed at me, I clearly distinguished the thread as "Fastchip". The fact that their main product shares its name with your business is not something I can control.

And yes, Bonxy, I'm not sure how smart that was. If these maps are indeed no longer available, then there may be justification in making them freely available. But until we establish that, I'd suggest removing that link ;)

Yeah if he's gonna pull all the maps (which actually means not supporting 172/182 owners AT ALL despite promises) I suggest we put them all up on a free download link

But might wanna wait until he responds first lol

Henk is still offering support the the clios, as I just received an email from him.
I'm not sure why the map are not on the website anymore.

Bonxy posted the link so the post was aimed at him, also i cant really see how RS Tuner and RS Tuning are the same really.

i want to order a RSTuner unit!
diagnostic tool plus switchable performance map with over-run and launch control ftw! - as i understand it there is nobody else that does the launch control option?

sounds like a great product i've emailed henk via the website.. failing that im gonna have to find somewhere else to get a map! was going to go to JMS then they shut down.. now I go to order an RSTuner and they're seemingly no longer available although this is unconfirmed..

someone out there doesn't want me to remap my car!

This is strange, the RSTuners ara actually available, and they still send you the maps, they just removed them from the website for a non specific reason but I don't think they would just tell you to fo f**k yourself if you ask them...they still work for profit in the end. The development work is done so every map is pure profit.

maybe.. but ive emailed henk twice now about buying one yesterday and today.. no reply...

who knows!

no wonder he gets fed up tho when people on this forum start up...!

I think the only thing more annoying than having to answer people on here is buying an rstuner - asking repeatedly what files to download and being ignored. Then buying the wrong files (at 48euros each) and then having Henk snap at you for asking a question - then having to pay another 48euros to download the right file
Then 2 days later all the files being removed from the site but sent out FREE to people on request LOL

That's the real life experience of a person in this thread

sounds frustrating but tbf mate i have seen your review before on other threads but the majority of people rate henk very highly indeed!

i dont think you can fault the product at all, seems like a very decent bit of kit with a great deal of functionality even if it is complicated to get to grips with to start off with!
im sure from henks point of view he must get 100s of the same questions on a daily basis must be frustrating for both parties!

The equipment is good, you can really feel the results. The service is a little erratic, i could not get an answer about which maps to use, and tried politely for over a week. This was very frustrating.

Then i was helped by Riley, bought the maps online, downloaded them within 5 minutes and then within 48hrs received the CS discount and a refund of 20 euros.

This left me very confused about what to think:

Product works, maps are good, paying and receiving maps is good.
Communication is cryptic and doesn't answer what you are asking, if you are lucky to get a reply, the installation instructions are not great. All you need to know can be summed up in less then 10 lines of plain text.

It just needs a definative list on the Fastchip website saying which maps and ecu files are for which cars, covering all software variations. This will reduce the frustrating mails, lead to more satisfied customers and boost business. Surely everyone wins then?

the products awesome and i want one :p surely it shouldn't be this hard to give him some of my hard earned $$$'s! hey ho!

i sell exhausts on the CCUK forums, and although my exhausts are dot on, and i do try and explain everything on the main page.. there are still people who ask questions which could of been answered through a little bit of reading! so i can sympathise with henk in this respect!

Henk, if you're reading this, i want to give you gold in exchange for one of your boxes of magic!

Rob,

You can buy mine if you want, it is V 1.8, so you can't do pops and bangs. It is the best mod i have done to the car so far, it would be a real shame if it were not available to other forum users as there are not many worthwhile mods for such a low price. I think it is all you really need to do to the clio if your budget is tight.

cheers dude, i think il try and buy one new first cause i do want pop and bang etc, but il let you know if i dont hear anything from henk!

Honestly get one and use it I did mine 2 weeks ago best mod you cab do by a long shot, it's not hard to use you just need to read the instruction manual before touching it and take things slow, you have to be a fucktard to mess it up. 2nd hand is the way forward as well especially if your not getting the pops and bangs map
