Faulty Aircon

Hi, the climate control doesn't blow out any air conditioned air in my Clio 182. I've been told by the previous owner that he had it regassed but it didn't fix it.

I'm going to replace the condenser as I suspect it's got a leak in it.

Is it just a case of removing the bumper, then undo a couple of bolts on the old condenser and attaching the new one (then getting it regassed) or is it more involved than that?

Thanks

Only problem with leak tests is it'll only show is the leak is big enough for a noticeable amount of leakage. If it has a tiny pin prick hole that leaks slowly it's hard to tell. where it's coming from.

Fingers crossed it's easy to spot for you.

First work out whether the heater flap is stuck open so it constantly blows hot air out. Do this by turning the aircon off and fan onto manual and set the temp to min, then max. See if there is a difference.

luckily the temperature control seems to be working fine thanks (other than the lack of air conditioned air when a/c switched on). It's definitely hot when you turn it up though.

lol, well neither are good. I remember this from my mx5 days when it violently squirted out refrigerant on the driveway when removing my aircon pump :-S
