faulty number plate light

Every 6 months or so, my number plate light on my mk2 stops working. Could it be because water is getting under the light casing when Im washing it? I think Ive failed my last 2 MOTs because of this sh*tty little problem!

Same, mines is permanently out.

MOT in 3 weeks, so I should get this sorted.

what do you think is causing yours Mike?

had someone look at my steering prob btw, looks like something above the spring so getting it fixed along with new brake discs next week

Mine was replaced at the last service, I hadnt even noticed it was broken, but for £1.50 I was quite happy for them to fix it!

My bulb stops working every so often, i take it out and just fiddle about with it and it comes back on

the bulb holders are sh*te to say the least. The connectors corrode and so does the wiring (including pins on the plug). So when you think youve rubbed the connections down enough, it still doesnt work

I had to bodge a new connection for the MOT, and its still working, so itll do me.

its a pain in the arse isnt it, ach well getting some stuff done soon so get yet another new bulb, might last me until my next mot in feb *crosses fingers*
