Feature or broken?

Car  Clio 2009
Hi, I'm new...
I have a 2009 Clio and i am not sure if this is a security feature of if it's broken but when you unlock the car only the drivers door unlocks and not the passenger side, however if you open the drivers door and then try to lock the car it will then open the passenger side, also all doors lock finewhen all doors closed. Is this normal or is something wrong? :/

Had loads of cars that only open drivers door unless you double press the unlock.

It does not open if i double press the unlock though, only if i do this:
1. press unlock on CL (driver door opens, not passenger)
2. physically open drivers door
3. press LOCK on the CL...
Then it opens the passenger door.

It's a REALLY annoying feature on the Clio III called "Selective opening of doors" where only the drivers door will unlock with a single press of the remote key fob. When you have kids, it is the most annoying thing in the world but thankfully it can be removed with CLIP.

My old Corsa used to do that for some reason. Two clicks to unlock, two clicks to lock/immobilise.

Thank you for the info, glad i posted instead of ripping the door apart :)
Is there instructions on how to do this or is it a dealer only thing?

Why would you want it to do that? Sounds stupidly regarded lol

I think it's a good feature personally. Most of the time there's only me in the car, and so i only need to open the driver's door. Useful when you're in an undesirable area. Haha.
