Few updates on my car :)

Car  RB 182
Car has had a few changes in the past few months, mainly some strippage and bits of scafolding installed :o

Car as standard:

Car with AST's, BB Performance exhaust, white 2118's, Cobra Evo's with custom embroider, and a bit of steel pipe in the back lol.

Cruise control buttons work a treat, must admit that I'm not too keen on using the 'D' wheel but will see how it goes, might just sell it with the CC buttons and start a new one.

Cage was done by EJM Preparations in Alcester, Warwick. Might be sorting out a group buy if there is any interest. Better pics to follow this weekend as the front end is having a re-spray. :o

D shape wheels are a bit wanky IMO, but car looks good. How much track work have you done?

Yeah I agree, looked good at the time and was a mini project to keep me from being bored lol. No track experiance with this car, always wanted to do it up so will put my hands up if I bin it on my first track day... :o Not looking to hammer it till I've sorted out moving house, then have it purely for track days.

nice stuff going in there, looks really good what have you got the steering wheel buttons wired up to?

Oofft, commited! I couldn't live with that spec for day2day use! I think a dished wheel would look very good. I think you could probably make decent cash doing wheel converions like that for 182 owners!

It's not too bad as I work 5 miles away, but yeah, it does get to you when getting the shopping etc, pain in the ass to get out of them seats when cars park tight against you, but i've always wanted to do it so said sod it! lets have some fun lol.

Might look into the wheel conversion, it's not that complicated, just had a vision of the wheel catching fire as soon as I engaged the CC lol.

I really like that, Love the seats.

As quoted before, really kicking myself I didn't buy your ITB's when Dan was selling them!

Seats are nice and comfy to drive in, I tried several types including the Sabelt Tarus Clio cup racer ones. Found these ideal for my height, build, and visibility. They are not everyones cup of tea but I have had no problems with them.

Lol you've gota be quick when bargins come about :)

The ITB's have really improved the car in so many ways, deffently worth buying if your going to keep the car for quite a while :)

Would only sell the car if I ended up in some desperate need for cash. Tis with me for life :) Holding fire on the ITB's as this new JMS induction kit looks interesting, plus I'm in the middle of selling up/looking to move.

Car looks really good mate, like the white 2118's.

Its not an induction kit, call it that again, go on I dare you... ;)

Car looks luverly btw ;)

Tom, when i called it a "glorified induction kit" at your workshop, i expected a spanner in the face lol.
I hope you know i was only joking :o

nice that mate, i remember meeting u at services at wolverhampton, when u sold the 182 wheels, cars come a long way sice then;)

Lols at the cruise control catching fire.

Car looks great mate, very purposeful!

Really simple job to do, just a few resistors, correct wiring, then seal it all up and jobs a good'un. If you need any help, pass me a PM.

cheers meek, did you get the wheel without then i take?

as i really want rid of the horrible heavy wheel i have but want it looking oem and not wasting the cc feature :)

feel free to pm as im cluttering your thread now arent i ;)

Little update:

I decided to do Bedford after advice from people on this forum and a few others off it. End result, HUUUUUUGE smile on my face!

Twas the first time my lil clio went on track, and indeed the first time I have ever done this kind of track day... I was naturally rervous of the car breaking down, cack skills showing me up etc... We were meant to have a few "slow" installation laps with no helmets, ended up bombing around at 90+ which soon put an end to any nerves. Felt at home and got into the swing of things quite fast :)

I must admit that Bedford was a bit confusing to read at first, the open field and lack of clear markers meant that I had to focus more on corners and breaking points etc... anywho, loved every second of it, here are some piccies...

cracking photos, it did look pretty good on track on friday!

Quite a few people that either had a go in it, were in the passenger seat, or following commented how ballanced it looked in the corners. I think alot of credit should go to Dan and Curtis at powerstation for a cracking set of coils ;)

In regards to the photos, my mate only took them of my car, was hoping for others to post in the track day post :(
