ff phase 2 172 vs 306 gti-6

had a play with 306 gti-6 earlier, it was a black r reg. He dropped it down into 2nd and booted it! But as you mite of guessed, he couldn't get away from me . Don't usually race people ;-) but curiosity got the better of me!

GTi-6 is every bit as quick as a ph2 172!

my ph-quick was IDENTICAL to my mates GTi-6. We raced nearly everywhere ec=veryweek for about a year! lol No difference in anything.

well his had an exhaust and induction kit 2 by the sound of it. mines 100% standard and he wasnt gettin away, i was just gettin closer! The book speed for 0-60 on the 306 is half a second slower.

peugeot obtain their times 2 up fully leaden as well.

Which is why all their cars have slow book figures. 106gti has a 0-60 of 8.5 according to them......its easily 1.5 seconds quicker.

Sod all in it. 6 Speed box will also catch you out easy if your in the wrong cog in your Clio.

my bros got a gti-6 - and in my 182 i only just pull a gap. but his has done over 100k!

i had a mint gti6 for a bit was one off the last registered. dint keep it long didnt like it at all. had a 182 before it and didnt feel anywere near as quick. didnt seem to handle after the 182 eitha. flogged it after bout 3 months

Try a Rallye .Selling mine at the mo, just after a better everyday car. I've owned a ph2 172 and a 182 cup before, and there's nothing in it for straight line speed. But, IMHO, the 306 is a far more entertaining car when you're going for it, better steering, driving position, and great lift off oversteer. The 172/182 felt much more planted, but I found that a bit boring.

ye the lift off oversteer was def interesting! just didnt do it for me tbh. did try a coup of rallyes looked good in white. felt the same but with no leather

I'm always very wary with gti-6's. They dont look much but they can can be very supising. I would have thought it would have been just as quick.

yeh they are defo quick, underestimated cars but like col182 said, there's not much in it but i managed to be slightly quicker, shud i of been in front i wud hav gained a v slight lead. but to be honest not much in it atall like wots been said.
