finally fitted my decat & ktec stealth

system. Bloody hell its noisey.......but boy does it pick up so well now. Its like driving a different car with the decat on, it feels so much faster. Very impressed

Is it the decat that makes it all so free or noisey etc or is it the full exhaust system?

Think it must be the decat, as I've got a stealth too, and unless you're going for it, it's really very subtle.

A decat is a decat is a deact. Your could use a piece of drainpipe if you could fit it. Its a piece of metal pipe, therefore any is fine. But Janspeed/Yozzasport would be a good bet, price dependant.

I went for the janspeed as its supposed to be silenced. Had the stealth on 1st not much gain - the decat has really freed things up. Would defo recommend a decat to anyone. The system sounds so sweet full chat just a bit boomy on the motorway around 3.5k - suppose thats what the volume on my stereo is for.

Dont think it makes any difference to how it performs. Suppose its down to whether you want it loud & proud or a bit more discreet

at present i've got a janspeed decat attached to a standard 172 exhaust system and i think it makes a noticable difference. As for noise though, its not really any different from standard.........except for the baffles which are now blowing on my backbox due to the increased flow i think.

I think the noise is from the backbox itself

Stealth is boomy at a certain RPM mate....I've got one on my car and the girlfriend gets pretty pissed off with it
