Finally ordered some H&R's jippieeee

  RS RIP
A little raise from work has been my excuse haha  Will have to explain to my lady :(

I'm wondering how you other H&R drivers have yours set-up.

-How low ?

-What Camber ? (slight camber adjustment without camberbolts is possible is'nt it ?)

- did you put on/fix something for dirt and dust, as standard ?

Maybe nice to post a piccie, if you please, to see how very good the hight looks ;)

thanks guys

which ones have u ordered?

29389-1
or
29389-2

They come setup correctly from the box, I just droped the back
On the german H&R page you have recomended ride heights in a pdf,
if u can't find it, pm me

  Renault Clio 182
i have just fitted mine mate. it sits good will get pictures this weekend of it all clean but depending on camber of the road it sits right in the arch. i like my cars low though. i also used camberbolts but sure you can use them without.

  Clio MK 4
Will H&R coilovers give good handling even if lowered 60-70mm? And is it a really rough ride or is it not to bad as theyr good quality?

i think its a great ride. not hard and been throwing it about. my fiancee throws it about and thinks it handles lots better as well :D

Mark Fish set mine up so not sure what settings he chose.

Here's a pic anyhow:

That looks so f**king sexy that pic....

Thought this was a forgotten thread so have'nt looked for a while, happy to get some feedback guys !!

I've ordered the 29389-1 . The people from D.P.T. have contacted me if i was sure about this, and wanted me to measure the distance between the two bolts on my original suspension , which was 54mm.
This tells me that it is correct. The 182 measures 60mm between the bolts (heart to heart) and then it would be the 29389-2

correct me if i'm wrong anyone , Monday i'll be giving him my measurements !

Anybody perhaps who knows these measurements ?

Only part 29389-1 is listed on the H&R website, interesting. What measurements you after now franx?

http://www.hrsuspension.co.uk/p/HRsbv_pl.asp?Vehicle=RNCLI02&PartType=SUH02

It's the differnt measurements for the 172 and the 182..
The two bolts on the shock measure slightly different, 7,5 mm i believe.

check this site www.dutchpowertrading.nl , select H&R and then Gewindefahrwerke. Sorry everything in German. Select carmake and you'll find Clio models with the 2 different art.numbers.

I have received e-mail from another H&R driver confirming i need the 29389-1.
cheers Hoff

29389-1 is for 172/ph1/ph2/cup and 182 non cup

29389-2 is for 182 cup

pfff thanks there m8, ordered the correct ones then and they're on their way !! (would'nt be nice to find out halfway fitting them they do'nt fit..)

When i go and mount them myself, and straight after i drive (maybe stumble) to a highly recommended tyre-fitter here in the neighbourhood, will it save me a lot of money ?

I'm thinking of letting them do the fine-adjustment , outlining, camber, etc.

I would mount them myself, set camber at minimum and leave them as they came, than drive around for couple of days first and than make an alignment

I suggest -1,5deg camber with 0 toe
or
minimum camber and toe out (12") for dedicated road work

When doing the camber, how do i know where to stop adjusting ? Not that i have left/right different camber ...

Sounds allright to drive around first to get an impression.

Did you fix anything on the shocks for dirt/dust , like the original set-up ?

minimum camber is easy to adjust, when looking at the hub it makes perfect sense, upper mounting hole is biger

for exact camber this should be done on an alignment machine or if u set them equal on both sides at home

dirt protectors on front are already there, u use OE bump stops on the back
I shortened them in between and glued them back together
