Firefox web browsing...active x?

Now, i am new to this, im a IE person myself........but, i have an IP camera i am trying to view accross the LAN. Internet explorer views it fine, i have to install some active X bits and pieces, but then i can view the camera, and all is well.........

but, firefox just gives me a blank screen, doesnt ask me to install anything, and i cant find any settings for active X to be setup etc....... do i need a plugin? I am trying to work this out for someone i know.

Active X is the spawn of Satan.

I don't think there is a plugin, however if you google it you may find a walkthrough on getting it to work.

yea google seems to have revealed that there are 'add ins'......... thanks for the info
