Bought a second hand dogbone mount and it arrived this morning, It was then popped down to the powder coaters just at the bottom of the road from my work where it was powder coated in silver.

Picked it up at 5pm and fitted the poly bush mount to it and then to the car. Not got any vibration as spoke about so well happy at that.

Im going to have another one of these done which will be up for sale soon enough with the poly bush in the powder coated mount.

I've got a set of these ready to go on, unfortuately they arrived 2 days after my gearbox exploded. LOL

Did you use a vice or press to get them in, or did you manage it with your hands?

I popped the mount in a vice, Bashed the old ones out and then pushed the new ones in by hand.
I gave them a small spray with silicone lube rather than using the copper grease that is provided.

Very neat, shame its going to get covered in oil, road kill ect ;)

Very true but as powdered coated very easy to clean ;-)

Is it me or is the mount bent slightly?

Does look off in the pics but it is spot on and fits perfect

Yeah these are very good and tighten things up nicely.

No horrible vibrations for me either.

I believe that the dogbone mount is like any other mount with a rubber bonded bush. The rubber wears away and splits/bursts causing movment in the mount. By getting a powerflex poly bush this stops any chance of the bush wearing and lasts 100 tmes longer and tightens up any movment in the mount and its worth the £32 rather than paying for dog bone mounts whenever the bush splits or causes movement.

Ive got one on my T, it was great for the first 2 months (Except for the cabin resonance on idle) ... then after that its just increased the wear on the other mounts and now they need replacing.

I've heard this aswell, which is why i'll be replacing both the upper & lower gearbox mounts, and the engine mount at the same time.
Worth doing imo, they're not expensive.

Some people dislike it, but if the cabin vibration is intolerable it's probably fitted incorrectly. Makes the car feel a lot firmer through lower gear changes

Later on in the future im looking to get front poly bushes and the upratred egine / gearbox mounts to complete the front end and then if money and time allow i will source a rear ARB
and with that im sure the Trophy will handle like a dream.
