Fitting Cup Spoiler

Recently got myself one and have sprayed it etc. What have others done to the brake light connector to make it fit as it causes the spoiler to not sit flush with the tailgate?

Also the wiper feed is bloody short so what has anyone done to that to make that fit?

i just pushed it inside and it went straight on no problems

Fair enough I only did a quick test fitting when I first got it before I sprayed it
