Fitting dogbone mount

  120d M Sport
Hi all,

Got a polybushed dogbone mount, are these easy enough to fit?

I've got the whole mount with the polybush in situe so don't need to faff about with that bit which I've heard can be a fiddle.

Is it just a case of getting under, unbolting the old one and bolting the new one in?

I don't need to support the engine with a jack or anything? And will it be fine to just bolt it up tight, or should it be torqued up properly?

Yup, swap 1 out 1 in. No need for a jack. If the engine moves and doesn't line up with the holes once removed then it might be a sign of another mount that is suspect. Mine never moves when fitting.

Make sure you have the large washers for either side of the bush so you don't squash it.

No problem!

Yeah, large penny washers at about 30mm od and 10mm Id iirc.

Stops the bush getting squashed and failing prematurely.
