havnt bought one yet. want to see how easy it is to fit. its like when ive seen a samaco hose or something conectd. i cant actually explain cos i dont know what im going on about but just looking for some sorta ideas of how an induction kit is fitted and whats involved in changing from standard box to an induction kit

okay maybe lookin at a few photos it seems a bit obvious that its just conected where the std air box was

heres what you have to do, sent it to some guy the other day. heres my 1.4 with a BMC which is exactly the same. You have to remove the whole standard airbox with involves removing the plenum to get the rear box off

imo, just undo the bottle located behind the ecu, then wiggle the black box at the back of the engine out. comes out easy enough without having to undo the 20 odd bolts. then alls i did, was get some tube, and put it round the throttle body to my bmc cda.

bobs ya uncle, *****s your ant?

or you could do this and just remove the air filter from the box at the back:

have u left the part that come out of the back and conected ur pipe unlike that unlike the guy whos seems to go right into the back of the engine?

have you seen how restrictive the rear box is? the back of its about 10mm away from the throttle body and then to top it off on top of the exhuast manifold to "heat/cook" up that cold air you need lol

Yeah. It does that same job, just saved time removing everything to to take it out. just removed the air filter from that box at the back.

home made heat shield sorts that out.

LOL. i fink my standard airbox works fine and that i will save money and leave it in for now. thanks for trying to explain. i have more of an idea now

anyone with half a brain doesnt fiddle when they dont kno wht they r doing. i really didnt fink water went into an induction kit. it was more the induction kit suplying cold air to the water suply to keep it cool in some sorta strange confusing way. just cudnt work out where hoses went. look at it coming from my point of view and not knowing anything about fitting an induction kit for the stupid questions just to understand how one was fitted and whats involved.
