Fitting Wheels

ive decided to put the alloys on my car, was gunna wait till i passed my test but theyre doin my head in just sittin there doing nothing. so im gunna put em on

theyre OZ F1s 15s goin onto my mk1 ph1 clio.

is there anything i should know / do etc, just to make sure theyre right. i am a total novice with cars but fitting the wheels shouldnt be too tasking even for me!

the tires are all the same but arent brand new, and one is a little worn compared to the others, im gunna get a new tyre on it in a month or 2, but will this affect the ride? will this mean they will need balancing, or should it be ok?

also, what kinda effect will this have on the speedo? goin from steelies, which are 13s i think, up to the 15s, will it mean the speedo will over estimate or under estimate?

any help would be great!

easy enough job matey but you will probably need a set of alloy wheel bolts.the steel wheel bolts will work themselves loose due to there shape isnt designed for alloy wheels.your speedo will under estimate slightly but there is nothing you can do to fix that.

yeh i didnt think you could do owt about the speedo. how much do you rekon it will be out, not much i expect?! maybe a couple of mph, just dont want any speeding tickets cos speed cameras are all over round ere!

if you stick bang on the limit when you go past a speed camara youll be alright.speed camaras give you a bit of lee way.

probably the best buy for ur wheels, compare the cost of the locks to the cost of new wheels!!
