Fix the clio and sell or break it and sell in parts ?

  M135i
Its time to finally let go of my little clio, trouble is i dont know weather to strip it in parts or try fix it and sell it on as i do have a new car now.

It currently has no MOT or tax and for some reason the headlights dont work which i cnt find the fault myself. If i was to fix the headlights it would still have to pass an MOT which being honest i dont think it would, i think it would fail on emmissions and god knows what else.

Its a 02 plate nautical blue in which i have put a full sport kit and put a 182 remapped engine in myself. I believe the milage on the engine is 40,000 but i have no paper work or anything to back this up.

If i broke it i believe i would make between £2,500 and £3,000 but if i was to fix it and sell it i dont have a clue how much it would be worth. Never mind what it would cost to fix and get it through an MOT.

This has been my first car and my pride and joy, its had endless amount of work and effort and money has been put into it and ive learnt a hell of a lot from it so if i was to break it i know some little chav wont be driving it round wrapping it into a tree.

Some pics on how it looks

whaaaat. It's probably just a fecked relay. You can't break it, especially if that's all that's wrong with it

Up to you at the end of the day

But like revels said, even if it was to be fixed it wouldnt be worth what i could get if i broke it in parts.

I dont have a clue how much it would be worth if it had a MOT and tax and ran perfect

With a new MOT, and running faultlessly, its probably worth £1800-£2k maximum.

If you've got the timeand space, break it.

Me personally i'dsell it as a whole. Its about £1000 difference and inmy experience of breaking cars, Its not worth the aggro.

Being 20 and skint as fook... £1000 is a hell of alot of money for me lol

Sounds like breaking it would make more financial sense.

The car is already stripped and parts are already all round the house so its just a case of selling it all.

break it imho

I wouldnt touch a conversion with a barge pole unless it had stacks of paper work from an RS specialist.

I am in the process of breaking my old car, it's a pain in the arse! Ive still got a shell sat on the drive which I can't shift. I don't think I'll ever break a car for parts again it's a lot of hassle.
