on the look out for some buckets and am slightly torn between the 2 kinds,

i will not be using the rear of my car for anything so thats not an issue, it will not be for serious trackday use although may do a few.

whats people views / opinions on either?

I'd go with fixed mate. I've had two lots of recliners and on both sets i just could not get comfortable withthem. You sat too far up in the air.
With fixed backs, you sit so much lower.

My opinion anyway. You probably don't care about it. Loser.

half the point in getting buckets really has to be to improve the driving position, therefore fixed back is better.

depends what your other motives are i guess.... if you just want the look, then you need to consider both i guess.... if u just want weight loss, and superb body hold, fixed back.

dont be a pussy

fixed all the way. ull need to try them out 1st though to find out which ones are comfortable for you (for example the corbeau forza ones are far too upright for me to be comfortable)

If you get decent recliners then you will be fine. I mainly got mine as I need to get people in the back from time to time and when you go on long journeys its nice not to be sitting like an erect c**k for ages.

Main reason for fixed back is cheaper cost. Id only consider them if I spent 75% of time on track.
