Flamer... Now with spacers

  Disastra Coupe
Been wanting spacer's for a while now and after seeing the PB 182 on this forum it spurred me on even more.

In the end i went for 20mm at the front and 15mm at the rear, hubcentric's ofcourse.

Lol cheers dude.

Didn't know there was one but I'll have a look at the regional section in a min. Guessing it's in there?

It's on K-Tec coilovers... It's not mint sadly, there's a few marks I need to sort. But it's still very tidy IMO. Thanks :)

Looks lovely that! I'm a real fan of the colour. How are you getting on with the ktec coilies? Ive been told they are no good on a cup due to the bolt spacing only allowing -0.5 degree camber. Shame as they're a good price with a 2 year warranty.

Really like that, I know it's a bit "bahh bahh" but I'd like to see it on a set of silver Turini's.

I find them brilliant for the money. Everyone who get's in the car comment's on how smooth it is to say how low it is. Really is a comfy ride imo, not all that far from standard. They've pitted badly quite quickly i've noticed, compared to more expensive makes and i do clean my arches quite often.

Personally for the money i think they're brill :)

Lol, i know what you mean but it's not happening. If i were to change it'd probably be a set of silver Pro Race 1.2's or some Compomotive 5 spokes, but i'm not even thinking about that yet really. Main thing now is to find a Cup spoiler, then i can get all the bit's of paintwork done that i want doing.

That looks so much better. Sits well nice does that.

Just noticed the dog in the first pic, it made me LOL!

Loads better! Are you running spacers that use longer wheel bolts yea?

Yea, that's right. They're the hubcentrics that are on eBay.

Thanks people :)

erm, they are not hubcentric spacers chaps. hubcentic spacers bolt direct to the hub, then the wheel bolts to the spacer.

if you have bought regular spacers that require longer bolts i would remove them quick time, bloody hedge finders.

i hope they are this type;

Gouldy to the rescue again ;)

Lol, yes, they require longer bolt's BUT the wheel sit's on a centre piece like the one's you've posted - so not all the weight is on the bolt's.

For example they're similar to this:

Also, regard's the other type, where they're longer bolts but completely flat spacers, i know folk's always call them but i ran them for 4 years on my Saxo and never once had a problem. I didn't go for that type this time as obviously these are safer, but still....

Hubcentric spacers do not necessarily have to bolt onto the hub first, there are 2 variations of "hubcentric spacer"

A hubcentric spacer is one that has a flange in the centre (bit like a hub funny enough) I see Gouldy's point about the longer bolts but he obviously hasn't met "flange" before ;)

BTW the car looks 100x better now :D
The big question is, what size of bolts did you get for the wheels and how does it drive now? :)

so what do you define as a flange?

this is a flange, and yes i do know what they are seen as i fit / weld them to low carbon steel pipework on a daily basis.

seems you dont seem to know what a flange is, although the fact that its a "flange" has nothing to do with anything.

my point was that hub centric spacers bolt to the hub. hence the name, the longer wheel bolts method can and does work fine in some cases however the longer wheel bolts and spacers have also been known to mess up the handling and also cause the wheel bolts to snap due to sheer force.

i didnt want my mate chip to snap his wheel bolts and have a bump, however he is happy with the car and aware of what can happen so leave him too it.

the car looks nice with the spacers so leave it at that.

That's exactly what my thoughts were Tigger. Hubcentric is when they have that centre piece for the wheel to sit on. The bolts are 20mm longer than originals on the front and 15mm longer on the back. So they're perfect :)
