Flat Battery

Fitted my amp, sub and comps and finally got it all running.

Unfortunately, my car now doesnt run.

I spent about an hour setting up the SQ on the amp, and fine tuning without the engine running... and now my car wont start - the battery is completely dead.

Surely only running 1 amp for an hour wouldnt drain the battery?

Gotta wait till my old man gets home now to jump it!

depends on the power drain really, what size is the amp? Did you have the full dash lit up, HU running and inerior light on? What about the heater/blower running?

had the dash lit up... with HU, amp and int light on.

The amp is 4x 120w RMS Phoenix Gold.

Looks like im jumping the car in the dark/rain

@full tilt will do about 60A + the rest would kill a 50Ah battery easy

i assume it will be fine whilst the engine is running?

You could always upgrade the battery, or maybe have it's condition checked out? Also have your alternator and charging system verified before doing anything mate.
