Flat Spot 2k Revs 172 cup

  RS2'ed 172 Cup
Noticed it after fitting my 182 Manifold and Spot CAT.

Accelerating in 2nd from below 2k revs it has a flat spot from about 2,500 - 3k then picks up and goes fine.

Any Ideas?

Might be the precat lambda, mine has done this a couple of times and when it got plugged in yesterday it showed a warning about it. Though it could a load of other things mayeb like the coil/leads etc etc.

I'd get it plugged into a obd reader to see if theres any warnings been logged on the ecu.

Nick, Did yours show any dash warning lights or was all Ok just a flat spot?

Leads and Plugs and Coil are all good, Its only happened since 182 Manifold and CAT fitted, so I wonder if as you suggest the Sensor gave up the Ghost and didnt like its new home.

More than likely the map, We installed the 4-2-1 manifold on the 172 few weeks back & testing showed its not just a case of bolting on and obtaining the the same hp/torque as the 182

Reset the ECU by pulling the power for 30 mins or so, then it'll learn a better setup with the new bits, give it a good thrashing for a bit (all the revs and varying throttle positions) and use all the electrics etc. Worked wonders for me when I put my JMS induction on, of course a remap would be even better.
