flat spot on clio 172

is there anyone out there experiencing a flat spot on there 172, ive got a stainless steel exhuast and a k&n air filter ive recently changed the spark plugs because it was miss firing now ive got a flat spot and its driving me mad . in 1st and 2nd gear when i excelerate and reach 3000 rpm it feels like its holding back is there any one who can help

Some 172s have flat spots. Ive had one on mine between 3rd &4th where there just seems a total lack of power but i reckon a good remap could sort it.
Mite be wrong but thats my pennies worth.

I had exactly the same on my 172 . It was on 30k miles and needed new plugs .It felt dead with no power up until 3000 revs .As you've already changed your plugs maybe it could be your ht leads or coil ??

What plugs did you use ? NGK PFR6E-10 are fitted as standard .

The only time you should really feel a " flat spot " is when the car is not properly warmed up , first few mins it slightly hesitates , after that it should be fine .

what temp is the car sitting at when this happens... i get that but only when the car is cold.

got ngk;s on there got some new leads on the way hopfully that will sort it, its driving me f**king mad other than that the 172 is a brilliant little car
