Fletch's 150k 172 Project..

Poor update tbh. I wanted ITB's! When you think this will be back on the road Fletch? I'm aiming for end of March

Forgot to tell you, i ran out of Matt black so the extra bars are Satin black :)

I'd love to be updating the thread with some trumpet news Sam, damn kitchen :dapprove:

Hopefully sooner than I thought as I'm not off to Dubai now until March.. Maybe even get it running before the end of Feb.

Good man! I should have the saxo off of SORN at the end of Feb. Will run it around town to get everything moving again then off for it's heart transplant before April. I'm determined to get the engine out of the garage before its spent a whole year in there. Got it on April the first, seems like yesterday.

Mines been off the road for over 6 months. I can't wait to take it around my favourite B roads again.

Nice one fletch

Yes mate.

All I need to do is get the seat fitted then it's ready for a cambelt/ Auxbelt Mot and she'll be up and running again. Wahoo

It feels like it's been a lot longer than 6 months. Are you going for 438's or getting it back on the road first?

Good choice :approve:

Just getting it back on the road first. I will have a lot more money to throw at it next year. I just want to get it up and running now, and get it back on the track.

I am hopping the AC delete kit arrives today. I ordered it on Monday! :dapprove:

Had the same kit fitted at BTM last week, the weight of the compressor, brackets and rad etc is insane.

Lol at that pic.

I've sat in it a few times this afternoon. I think I may be a touch to far back :o I'll reserve judgement until I can actually drive it though.

I remember the instructor at Bedford telling us that when seated and fully harnessed up, you should be able to place your wrists on the top of the wheel with ease so that you can turn full lock without needing to stretch.

Yeah that sounds right. IIRC Chris did take that pic of me before we had fitted the seat. So I am not that far back.

Looks epic mate :)

Cheers mate. :)

Yea that was before it was bolted down, to give some idea of how low the seat is its about 2/3' of an iPhone 4 off the floor ! There must be the best part of a foot before the roof of the car from the top of the seat, which Fletchers head doesn't even reach !

This tbh ...

Cheers Dan.

Love it mate, can't wait to see it back on the road - for Combe in April? ;)

Yes that's the plan Russ. Maybe do the RS brands hatch trackday on the 10th April too.

Plenty of head room now mate ;)

Same seat and height I've got mine. Perfect height for that race car look IMO.

If only the steering wheel would go that wee bit lower it would be even better.

Looks awesome, i love it!

As for spacing the column, in my ph1 when the dash was out i hang the wheel about 50mm lower than its lowest setting and it felt like the perfect driving position. Could be worth trying
