Disappointed with the figures TBH. Charlie said it was going well making good power and torque right up until it just dropped off. Strange as it made 171.5bhp in 2011. It's only done 5k and had PMS AC delete and matched inlets fitted, so I was expecting 172bhp or above. The exhaust is blowing a bit and the thermostat is playing up, maybe that's the reason?
On a brighter note : I had a nice drive to Birmingham to pick up a set of a Recaro SPG's off Aaron. Nice to meet you mate.

Yes strange that it didn't make the same or more as before. The car itself feels very responsive and quick on the road, so I shouldn't grumble too much.
New exhaust next methinks, then next year cams/ ITB's (hopefully)
And yes I do need two seats mate
Aslong as it drives good, thats the main thing! My flamer didnt make great power but drove amazingly well! That makes me wonder if that engine ever got fitted to anything...
I wouldnt bother with the N/A route, just boost it lol. Works out the same price really.

rotrex sounds good too. I have been in Tom's SC 172 and briefly drove it, f**king rocket that thing.
Are the SPG's a cheaper seat to pole positions or about the same?
Itbs do sounds great, it was the route I was going to take then last minute I went s/c.

The Recaro SPG is about £100 more at around the £623 mark (from demon tweaks)

i can make it more difficult a choice, come round and ill take you out in the saxo before i sorn it.
about the rr readings, 3bhp difference is nothing, even on the same rollers. The exhaust could of caused it or anything really.

I think I'll go down the ITB route Sam. ITB's + cams and it will give it a healthy BHP per tonne figure. When are you going to SORN the saxo mate?
Like I said yesterday via text mate, just seems strange that it didn't make as much power as before as it drives much better!

It needs to much to get through the mot tbh Tim. New rear suspension at least. So may aswell upgrade the front as i have most of the parts sat in the garage. New windscreen, Also the brakes are feeling pap lately so new pads and lines for them. With the house as my main priority i cant afford splashing cash on track days yet. If i rebuild the saxo ill do it over a long period like before. 10/12 months etc.

The subframe issue is that OMP manafactered them 12mm out IIRC. So they need packing up the exhaust tunnel side. I purchased a metal bar a while back, so I am hopping that doubled up will level them out.
I'll pop over to the unit again soon mate.

Sounds like you have it in hand.. worst case just use some Block or brick to pack it out and fill the gaps with cement.. your good at that sort of thing aren't you?
