Focus Fair as i have now started to call it!
Its a good show.

People get very bias about cars, usually the one they have, often people with VWs will gain an interest in all VWs and think everything non vag is crud, some people on here own a clio, get into renaults and slate everything else, but almost everyone i know can name a ford that they love!
Im crazy about my old fords, the 80s/90s turbo stuff especially!

To be honest mate his is one of the only ones I've seen on a E plate , not a common sight ! And even less so is RS500s ! Shame really beautiful cars lol ! Shame about the massive bank balance needed though !

hahaha there was ALOT of focus' haha ! Apparently the STOC was bigger than the RSOC this year, but alot of people are going on club stands recently due to RSOCs attitude I've heard !

Completely !! We were commenting on the day , nobody was smiling, waving or anything ! Last time I went Renault meet everyone was dead nice came over chatted !

Not once did anybody speak to us apart from people trying to pick a fault !

Cheers buddy and haha there were quite a few none ford cars lol ! Was suprised how many, there was a few 197-200s on track and the M3 CSL went on! Got a soft spot for M3s haha

1) Non Ford's on Track - There were a handful of other non-Fords (other than the Silverstone cars) and I can only assume they ignored the 'Ford Only' booking. It will be adressed for 2014 and cars will be turned away.
Rainbird was given a track session for his Escort, he decided to turn up in a BMW. If I'd have known I'd have politely told him to leave it parked up. The first I knew it was when it was out there. I would have thought that the 'Fastest Fords session' name would have been enough of a clue for him!

2) Non Fords on Stands - It never ceases to amaze me that people think that putting non-Fords on club stands is ok. It makes the stands look worse, and is against the spirit of a Ford show. We can't kick people out once they're in the show, but we may look at reducing the number for 2014 as it's not fair when there are Fords in less desirable positions - There are plenty of other generic events you can take your non-Ford to.

3) The idiot in the 'ICE' Golf. Leave it at home next year. You irritated way more people than you impressed.

While I'm here...

4) Queues - There's always queues at popular Silverstone events. You can't expect to turn up at 9am and drive straight in. Sorry, but it's the nature of the event, if you hate queuing, get there earlier, or later.

5) Food Prices - Set by Silverstone, nothing at all to do with us and we don't make a single penny from the food sales. It's always been this way, and always will be. The food will be extortionate next year too, so bring your own grub if you object to a £7 cardboard burger

Nail and head come to mind ! Lol can't have everything perfect and quite frankly I think it was a pretty damn good day! We turned up at 8ish and had to wait about 15-20 mins ! Over the moon with that lol

No there are lots of mk1/2 escorts and the odd lotus cortina at ford fair every year.

Including normally seeing some of them getting used hard on track too
Although obviously in the case of the concours ones they are too valuable for that and too worried about damage which is fair enough if you are that obsessed with preperation you arent goign to want people rubbing you, lol.

I would love a Cosworth but there would be no point as it would just sit next to the S2 Escort and do nothing and with some of the price tags on them its scary.

ive had 2 x black 3dr Cossies, 3 escort Cossies, 2 x MK1 FRS, and a MK2 FRS.
for the first time in 14 years, I currently do not have an RS sat in the garage.


i was going to say, that's Rainbirds CSL, the escort is still over at Harvey's I believe, but don't quote me on that!
as much as I love Rainbird, I do feel that's a bit naughty parking up on the Fastest Fords stand and still taking his track time slot

i believe my mates Escos K12 COS (which is my number plate) was on the main Fast Ford stand aswell, and took advantage of his free track time slot.
