Lol, don't have to deal with that s**t when you live on your own.

I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the brief run I had in an LFA, didn't seem very fast.

  Fabia VRS & Yeti
I love the LFA, one of the best sounding cars in the game imo. It's better with a few upgrades.
I spent/wasted 45 minutes yesterday tyring to beat x stealth clown's time on Infineon in rivals mode yesterday.
All aids on you gheylord!

  GSXR + KDX220
Anyone tried the Triple rotor engine from the Mazda Furai in an RX7? Screeeeeammmmmer, nearly 10k rpm!! Seems to go on forever

  Astra 1.9Cdti SRi
theres one thing i cant do in this game, and thats Drifting, im utterly s**t at it, cant seem to get the back end to step out atall,

Are you using traction control ;) I've got a car I made and setup which is so easy to drift. Add me dannyjroberts and send a message requesting drift car and I'll stick it on storefront cheap ;)

All assists off, lots of PSI in the rear tyres and some negative camber = drift sessions!

Play with camber and tyre pressure settings to get the perfect set up for you.

I'm properly into this game now, but being an x-box noob have a couple of questions.

Whilst playing the controller usually has a green light on the player 1 quarter, but sometimes it just flashes and spins around - what does that mean?

What are peoples favorite cars in the various classes? Are there some that are particularly better than others? I'm not on live, so can't check leader boards.

Loads of cars can be good just depends how you tune them. one of my personal favourites is the exige. all depends on what track you use though. tbf without live your missing quite alot from the game.

Yeah, I realise that, but I'm too tight to pay for it at the moment - I am right in thinking that you pay for the privalige of playing online? I will do it at some point though.

Here's what I use most often for our online races. I tend to go for lightness and handling over brute power.

C Class - '71 Skyline GT-R
B Class - '92 NSX-R, '89 MR-2, Escort Cosworth
A Class - '02 NSX-R, E92 M3, Z3M, 1M
S Class - F40, LFA, 599 GTO

They're not the most friendly cars to drive with sim steering, being mostly mid-engined but they're really well balanced.

You've got to use sim steering, no aids and the clutch for the full experience though. Anyone not using everything is really missing out.

Internet connection would be easy enough - I could just switch it from my freesat to the xbox. If I can't race on line without paying though what would be the point?

Also if all my game data is saved on the hard drive, would I have to start again from scratch if I were to buy a new xbox?

Thanks for that will give them a go! I'm using sim steering with no aids, but I've not even attempted the clutch!

Whats' dlc?

You can get downloadable stuff like cars and maybe tracks but not sure.

No you can transfer it to your new one.

Dowloadable Content. Extra cars available in packs every month. There's been one so far.

Clutch is easier than you think. Blipping the throttle yourself on downshifts is really satisfying though.
