found a website any one used it....

Yeah there the people who made the powerflow car, can a F4R really produce 240 NA? as I don't think the clio cup production racecar thing produces that.

I think they just mean the engine is capable of 240bhp with a high spec. You would need way more than some poxy cams and a map to hit 240 bhp lol.

to be honest, that advert is a bit like selling a standard engine and saying it could produce 240 bhp with the correct work......

well to be honest i think its correct it states it comes with a fully modified head which i would imagine is port an polished or what ever? and cams with a remap, i reckon it could be 240bhp il tell you why.. there is a l.a.d motorsport clio 172 cup in my area in other words bought from l.a.d as there demo car, when i bought my clio i had a few problems with it so i rang l.a.d got the info i needed and mentioned that there clio was now round in my area they said all the car has had is the head skimmed and a 182 standard manifold and it made 220bhp (proven) so im guessing a set of cams and the correct mapping it could very well make 240bhp maybe take a couple of bhp??? and to be honest i dont think they would lie about it really i mean whats the point??

^LAD??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! biggest bunch of cowboys on the planet, no car they've ever touched has made much more than standard power FACT!

i'll put it this way, i ran a GENUINE 240bhp clio, and that engine was best part of £6K alone

i had a saxo vts from l.a.d came with a rolling road print out of 189.9bhp i got it dyno'd myself at a place in congleton called mikeanics made the same 189.9 bhp just a bit more than standard there....

a saxo (i assume a vts) with 190bhp???? behave! what was done to it?

wait until the rest of the cliosport mob see this!! LAD reckon you can break 200bhp on standard cams, no chance in hell

you CANNOT break 220bhp on a clio without changing the pistons, ain't going to happen

if you read properly i clearly said saxo "VTS" it had the l.a.d 170bhp kit remapped uprated fuel rail bigger injectors uorated fuel pump and other various bits that i cba mentionin for your sake...
listen all people have there own opinions i dont really give a fcuk if i gt slated for liking l.a.d motorsport ive had no bad experiences yet...

the point i am making is that. yes, that engine could produce 240bhp- with several thousand pounds spent on top of buying it, as could a standard engine. that engine will NEVER make 240 with just what has been done to it. i don't see any mention of tb's on that advert, do you?
how much power do you think you can get from cams and headwork? if it was that easy to do then why didn't renault do it? never mind the people who make their living tuning renaults.

as for lad, andy and jonathan who actually do the work are sound, ernie is quite simply a liar.
the car you mention (y100lad?) originally belonged to a good friend of mine, yes it's quick! but it never made 240.

PMSL....I'd sugest doing a search on the forum for LAD motorsport....you'll find that in general most people think they are exactly what Fred said tbh.

I've never dealt with Prima, but again do a quick search...I think general consensus is over priced

Fuking LOL, 240Bhp from cams and then no way, you wouldnt make 240 with ITBS and cams.

not a chance in hell a TU (VTS 16v lump) in relative std form will see 190bhp.

ive built engines for guys on the saxo club, all in NA spec. the most recent with cat cams, throttle bodies, high comp forged pistons etc didnt make 190bhp.

I ran a supercharged TU 16v and it only saw 250bhp.

LAd motorposrt saxo special edition or whatever it was called was the biggest lie ever!

120bhp @ flywheel std.

With good cams on the right map, you'd get 160 maybe if your lucky. Any more than that and i garuntee you'l need bodies! Jokers!

Trust me ive been building these for ages now!

Ah the memories of a journey to earnie and the l.a.d fairy dust he used to sprinkle on his cars

Anyone remember we contacted him here to say we would be at a certain rolling road and he said fine .My fee for the hotel is 600 quid and to transport the car is 1k
