If basketball is your thing on Epic Games.

Looks like this was only released back in October last year too?

Jagged Alliance is currently free on Steam, but a bit long in the tooth.

However, the excellent Diablo-clone of Titan Quest Anniversary Edition is also free on Steam. Works very well in the LAN/co-op setup and although not as graphically pretty as Diablo 3, I do think it is the better game.

For those on / with the (Amazon) Prime Gaming - free games for October 2021 will be:

  • Star Wars: Squadrons
  • Alien: Isolation
  • Ghostrunner
  • Song of Horror Complete Edition
  • Red Wings: Aces of the sky
  • Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures
  • Blue fire
  • Tiny Robots Recharged
  • Whiskey & Zombies: The Great Southern Zombie Escape
  • Secret Files 3

The first three are probably worth considering...

Not added to this for a while, but Homeworld Remastered Collection is most certainly worthy of a mention.

The setting still 'feels' good to this day - but back when the original was released in 1999, it was mind-blowing. This remaster dates from 2015, but the ambient, sometimes hauting music is still there and adds to the vibe significantly. Resources were limited and it was essential that you got not only the location of the enemy quickly, but also ascertained what forces it was deploying. Imagine if you will, the classic board game of Battleships, but in space and in 3D.

Theiving enemy vessels and converting them to your fleet has never been so rewarding. You genuinely felt like you'd got one-up on the scheming AI.

A genuine RTS classic.
