they guy said summit about 80K new and he's one of the owners of the team.... not quite 100k but racing a whole season could easily cost 15-20k

the R is for (directly translated) controlled damping..?
And the T is if you have a levelling system on the car.

i know Matt who co owns TeamThink, the cars are approx £20K NEW depending on how many mates you have in europe

Matt payed around £20K for his, but its not 100% UK spec IIRC (its also a championship winning car = more money)

Matt competes in Britcar enduro series which is much cheaper than the cliocup championship, and the cars can be moddified

a winter season in the cliocup championship i think is £55K, and the full season is nigh on £100K and thats if you DON'T crash!!!


remember the car is only a stock shell, with a full cage, a stock engine, fancy subframe, fancy suspension, fancy gearbox

there ain't much too them, add up all the parts, it don't come to £100,000!!!

If you buy in bulk you could get them as cheap as £13k (ex vat) although I'm not sure if they have the euro spec box or the Uk one but you do have to buy in a decinet bulk for the saving.
People claim £100k when they buy the other bits/repair bills etc. 10 sets of wheels plus new engines etc will make the price climb. No way there £100k though new you could get them for £27k I think whoever you were.

Maybee i was looking at a full spec money no option one but if you could get that new for 20k!! ill fuckin take one!!! lol

as i said, matts isn't a std UK spec one (matt is a tall fella, with a BMW M3)

the gearboxes are infact £7K new

an S1600 rallye car is £85K, a cup racer isn't

You cna get second hand ones for under £10 if you look around.
After next year there will be more on the market as the official lio CUp race chnapionship ends.
The standard cars don't have any carebonfiber or agjustable pedals etc thats what will have increased the price.

I got offered a drive in the clio cups last yr with team boulivard, They wanted 50k for the season...Thats for the car, mechanic, and maintainance. As andrew rightly says, that doesn't include bangin it, repairs, fuel, entries, ur licence, (travelin and hotel cost) < which is actually about the most expensive part of racing...
