Freeveiw Box



Im going to get my old man a free veiw reciever as he has cancelled his sky TV.

So can anyone recomend a good reciever circa 50.00 GBP?

Nothing too flashy.

get one for 20-30 quid all do same if u aint having top up tv ,

cheaper ones might require 2 scart leads one to vct and one to tv

amazon.co.uk do them for less than £25.. bought the old man one for Crimbo..
Alba or Bush it was.. not brilliant, but for £25, what do you expect..
 
It's worth checking the freeview web site to make sure you can receive the signal. In my town you can only receive it in the hills, not in the town centre or valley (the local booster ariel isn't currently digital).

Wish I'd checked before spending extra on a telly with an in-built free-view tuner!
 
Had 3 Phillips ones which were all aroung 80 and all broke! Had a £100 Thomson one and it broke. Now got a £90 Sony one which is awesome but my mum has 2 £23 Pacific boxes from Asda which are seriously as good as the Sony! Brilliant menu etc
 
I will have to look into the pacific box, I remember someone sayin the buget one in Sainsburys has top end electrics in there eg sony ect.

Will have to have a look.
