From a 1.2 to a 182!

When i first passed at 18 i was delighted to own a 1.2 top spec clio mk2. I loved it and id always add mods to it! After a year and a half of driving i wanted something with a little more poke ;) So i purchased a Black 182. So i went from this to this:....

The car is in very good condition. The only thing that lets it down are the 2 front wheels which could do with a refurb... Any prices?
With only covering 25k the steering wheel etc is in really good shape!

Current mods include:
Carbon wrapped dash inserts, bumper trim and exhaust trim.
Tinted rear windows.
Custom made stainless steel exhaust. Makes a nice growl noise so pleased with that!
Subwoofer and upgraded sound system and speakers.
Polished engine bay (just need to buff it back up)
The guy also chucked in a carbon cold air intake air filter too.


So far i am very pleased with it and thinking of other tidy mods to complete the car. What do you guys think....?

25k! That's a great find. I thought mine was low milage.

Tints off, new Renaultsport Mats, Subtle lows and that'll be incredibly mint.

Leave the Air intake as standard. You will barely hear it over the exhaust and the general consensus on the forum is that they loose you a bit of low end torque. Sell it to fund better mods :)

yeah has been verified too! couldnt believe it when i saw it! neither could the guy i was buying it off as he only bought it with 14k. He had a few cars so didnt drive it all the time. It drives perfectly :D

Check when the belts were done, they need changing on age as well as distance. Assuming 4 years service life they should have been done twice now.

First clean with just demon shine! Good results but looking for a really nice polish or something to make it really shine! Any recommendations...

Hi,

Stunning looking car mate.

Get your self over to the detailing forum for polish Ideas. Ive got a blackgold 182 myself and I use:

Menzerna range for polishing although I do have a random orbital polisher which makes it easier.

Poorboys blackhole is GREAT for black cars, its a sealant so perfect to use after polishing.

Then after blackhole I use collinite 476s which is a long lasting wax and cheap.

When the exhaust rots get a Milltek exhaust.

Also noticed Parcelshelf is missing in the pics. Can get one of these cheap , they are the same across the clio mk2 range.

What little mods can i do to improve the look both inside and out, to make it one of a kind. Something to make it stand out and look nice....

Recent Update

So i decided to actually clean the interior fully to get rid of any muck and whatever. I removed the seats which was easy and had a look at the uprated speakers in the car! Will be cleaning the outside tomorrow...

Recent update... Started tidying up the engine bay. Half way there now. Sprayed the inlet black and dremaled lettering. just need to do the fuel rail guard. This is bolted on hard any suggestions? Just planning on spraying the engine cover anthracite to match the alloys?

Up to date photos.. Sprayed and hand painted bullets. Red callipers and carbon wrapped interior and parts. Going for a black and red theme and love it
