Front coil spring 182 with cups packs??

Car failed mot on snapped spring. How many coils should the correct spring have for the 182 with cup packs? No Renault dealer seems to know. I'm hearing 6 but I've recieved one with 5 in the post from renparts.....?? They assured me it was correct.

Any ideas besides taking the old one out? I'm at work and need the right one before the weekend???? Cheeers

I've seen black ones with 5 coils and a yellow ones with 6 coils...help lol

If they are standard springs there may be some signs of the colour coding, the 182 cup pack springs have both yellow and blue paint blobs on the coils.

Will be a 172 spring - they are the same

As obcus said- Yellow and blue painted dots and 6 coils. Fred@BTM has sorted me out with a spring. Top guy!
