is this worth fitting on a 1.2,

Don't bother m8 .I had one fitted on my pug 306 s16 for a day . It fcuked up the fuellin so the ecu went into backup mode . Struggled to get to 80mph . fitted at a reputable garage so they took it back of and gave me my money back .

Its a huge waste of time and money mate, avoid

Listen to this man^^ I had one and swapped it for a stnd item..they are w**k! Anyone says otherwise is trying to justify wasting £80..IMHO anyway.

Kindof agree with some of the statements above...they´re defo not worth 80quid and on a decent performance engine the std item is more than up to the job.

If you´re actually trying to alter the fueling on the cheap they are useful but again, if you´ve the money, get the ECU remapped.

heard they only really work well on turbos, is this right? also that they CAN iron out flat spots on some motors? but generally a waste of time, i bought one for my XSI 306, never got round to fitting it, still in its box at my mates house!

They have actually been proven to do piss all, so a real waste of money!

No, i think you´re thinking of Ecotek valves mate.

PBV´s can iron out flatspots and can compensate for worn components due to the increased pressure....you can also fit them on any EFI car - turbo or otherwise.

As i said, don´t bother unless you can get one bought and fitted cheaply or if an ECU remap is far more expensive or if the std fuel reg is not up to the job you require...but that´d need to be on a well modified engine - for 99.9% of the peeps on here they´re not worth it.

My Old Valver had a flatspot before I had one of these fitted and ajusted on a rolling road.It was smoother and a bit snappier with the FSE on.Im not saying get one, because everyone else says they are poor.Im just saying it did something on my car.I have not got one on my Williams because its running nice and smooth as standard.

My old fiesta si 1.6 16v had an FSE. Made it a bit smoother but performance wise was no difference. PLUS the diaphram split after 6 months and the car never run right again after that, even after going back to the standard setup. My advice = Avoid like marmite!!!
