Fuel Filter PH1 172 How to De-pressurize?

Car  Renaultsport Clio 172 ph1
Hi

I would like to replace the fuel filter on my ph1 172. Can anyone tell me the procedure for de pressurizing the system before removing it please?

I'm not sure on a 172, but on my old car, i just whacked loads of old rag around it, to soak up any leaking petrol, and undid.

Worked fine.

just pull the line off with a rag over it and look the other way!

or you can do it stan's (boring) way ;)

Last time i done it the "fun" way I ended up with an eye full of Shell's best petrolium! and that was with a rag!

brake fluid on the hands is a horrible feeling, its not too bad in the eyes, fuel is worse i reckon

(excuse our off topic chat! LOL)
