fuel instrument

[CLIO 16V SWEDEN]

i need a litle help

the papers on the clio1991 1.8 16v shows that the tank is 50L

i just put fuel in the car a half an hour ago for 260kr thats about

20-26pounds and the fuel shower on the intrument panel showed almost full tank



now i have drivin 115km and it on halftank (hope u understand my english)



is there something wrong with the fuel instrument or does the car just drink a lot of bensin

so thats 115km for about 20L of fuel.. sounds like a bit much.. whats 115km in miles ? anyone ?

Depends on the shape of the tank though. If it was cube shaped the the dial would go down at a steady rate, but if the tank got wider at the bottom then the guage would move quicky to start with then go slower on the second half of the tank.
