  BMW 120D M Sport
Hello all,

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a connection that will clip onto the fuel pipe that connects to the fuel rail.

Im wanting make a drain for the fuel, So need a pipe made up that i can connect to the fuel pipe that clips to the fuel rail so i can switch the pump on and drain the fuel into a tuff jug between races.

Ive searched the forum for a while but cant find any answers for what im after.

I think so mate, Assuming you can take the fuel pipe off the original fuel rail and then plug it into this to use as a drain?

are you able to make them longer? I was looking for one to be long enough to easily reach from the original fuel rail down the front bumper in order to get into a fuel jug thats sat on the floor infront of the car

It can be yes , I can supply a long pipe to reach the container / floor.

Would it not be better to have something you can tap into rather than keep removing the connector on the fuel rail.

Over time it might weaken and lose it's grip on the rail, potentially popping off and causing a fire.

Not really designed to be taken on and off a lot.

Is it to comply with MSA regulations to be able to take fuel samples for analysis?
If so I think there are MSA regulations regarding it being a dry-break coupling tee'd onto the fuel line. You then have the other half of the coupling and a minimum length of hose available in parc ferme.
I can take a photo of what I've done if it's of any help. Not that I've ever had to use it, you need to win for anyone to be bothered to demand a fuel sample:D

Normal garden hose pipe is fine. That's what I used to do exactly what you want to do. Just unplug the fuel rail connector , put hose on to that and then just power the fuel pump.
