Full fat/cup packs??

  Liquid 182
Hello,
Great site having been a member of a fair few owners club sites this one seems very well put together!
Within the very near future I hope to get my hands on a Racing blue 182, however as im rather new to clios and stuff ive noticed you all talking about both cup packs etc. Just wondering if anyone would be so kind as to clear up what all is involved with this? I quite fancy one with all the toys to be honest, xenons, rain sensitive wipers, half leather etc. So what version should I be looking for? Seen a couple for sale without the xenons etc? Would that mean its the lightweight cup version?

Cheers in advance!

Harry

Full fat is the non cup version. You get Xenons etc.

If you want racing blue you have three options:

182 Cup which "lightwieght version" no xeons. leather or air con. But has cup alloys suspension, spoilers.

182. comes with leather Xenons climate, but no cup alloys suspension or spoilers

182 with cup options. Comes with Xenons leather, climate, cup alloys suspension and spoilers. (the alloys/suspension and spoiler are seperate options, but the majority have both or none.

hope this helps

Excellent mate, thats cleared that up great. So what wheels come on the 182 then? Just a silver version of the cup anthracite ones?
And I take it a 182 with cup options is gonna' be pretty hard to come by!?

Thanks

Welcome to CS.

As above sounds like your best of looing for a 182 (full fat) with both cup packs.

Good luck with the car hunt.

Cup wheels are the same design just finished in anthracite.

a 182 with both cup packs will be very easy to come across......Racing blue however is a different matter. Welcome btw

^^ as above the majority of 182s have the cup packs on them. Racing blue is fairly rare colour like inferno, but if you search hard enough shouldnt be too hard to find one.

182 with both cups is the one for you mate, if you want the comfort and the handling. You should have too many probs finding one as I think Renault predicted something like 75% of the 182 would have both the cup packs

I didnt think Racing Blue was rare, I dont see many but thought there were just as many of them as any the other standard colours.

full fat - clio with all the toys - xenons etc i.e. non cup car

cup packs - 2 exist :
cup spoiler pack - cup front splitter, cup rear spoiler
cup suspension pack - anthracite cup wheels, cup suspension and geometry

mine personally only had the cup suspension pack on when i bought it. added the front cup splitter myself.

alot of the full fat 182s will have had both cup packs on. so you get the looks of the cup but all the toys

Racing Blue is available as a Normal 182 colour and one of only 2 colours on a cup. Surely then this would make it the most common colour as it`s the only colour available on normal and cups ??

  Inferno 182 w/ Recaros ;)
inferno is the rarest colour before you get to ID paint

if your near to leeds there is an 05 plate racing blue 182 with strips, its the full fat version with cup packs for £11599, which seems a good price to me

Mine hasn't either of the cup options on. But from what I got told from the local dealership, In the whole time they've been selling Clio 182's, they'd only sold three that were Racing blue - Mine and two others. (I was told this at the beginning of Jan 2006)
The other two both had cup options on them. They major colours they'd sold was Black gold and Inferno Red and they also said they majority of them had cup options too. So your chances of finding a "cup'ed" Racing blue 182 will be pretty high I would assume. :D

Having bought one in september, I scoured the NW for 182s and found I had loads to choose from if I wanted silver or balck or arctic.

Racing Blue and inferno where more difficult to find. It is definintley rarer the the other three!!!

As Racing Blue was the only non cost colour I am suprised it is so rare. A few round here in it.

My Cup has A/C.

Want Xenons though. :( Can live without the 1/2 leather seats.

Cup drivers have more fun..... *can of worms*

At the time you were looking for one in and around the NW racing Blue might well of been harder to find but it might be missleading telling people it`s the rarest colour. All i see in my area are racing blue 182`s, does that mean they are common ??

I`d be interested to find out properly what the sales figures were for each colour rather than guessing, i`d still guess Racing Blue is more common.

Not at all mate... I never stated that it was the rarest colour, and superfast Dan also stated it was rare (him being a renault salesman, mite be better informed) It was a general observation having look at one for a 182 for a while and having been to quiet a few CS meets racing blue was one of the rarer colours!! I stand by my comment of wot the most common colours are and dont need stats for that:rolleyes:

"more common than what????" inferno yes, Id colours yes, the rest... No
