Funy noise from 6*9

  Audi S3 225

Hi, just recently done my boot install and it was sounding sweet until I got a problem. I turned my head unit on and a high pitch strange noise comes from the left 6*9 in my parcel shelf.:( It wasn’t there before. The funny thing is when I drive depending how high my revs are depends on how loud the pitch gets. Now I’m quite worried that this noise is damaging my speakers.

Some1 told me that the noise may be something to do with the automater turning that charges the battery or something like that, don’t really understand it much.

The 6*9s are Pioneer running off a 500 watt 2-way Kenwood amp and are both 250-wat max.

Has anyone experienced this before with their speakers and if so is there anyway to fix it, or should I just replace the 6*9s.

Thx in advance, Jonesy;)

First things first, check all the wireing as that is the normal, it wont be the speaker it will be the amp. this problem is one of the most common probs and can be a few things.

Check the earth on the amp and make sure that it is earthed in the same place as any other amps. if this is fine then look into getting analtanator suppressor which should sort it (about £15) if all this fails then it could still be other things but try these first as they are normally the cause.

yea call your local ICE place an they should be able to sort you out with an alternator/interference suppressor

sure u aint running your rcas near your power cable? Sure the earth cable is earthing properly? Had the same problem in mine, nothing a bit if sandpaper to create a nice earth point didnt sort ;)
