2003 53 Reg 172 Cup 44,000 miles, excellent condition blah blah ect.

It's in a garage in Aberdeen. G.Reid cars. Anybody know anything about them or the car? He said it's the fastest clio he'd ever driven ''Revs up like a motorbike'' lol. Also, just one lady owner but it's got a big stupid looking boy racer exhaust tail pipe. Wants £6,450 for it.

TBH I think 6.5K for a cup is quite expenisve, theres 182's knnocking about for that sort of price privately.

If the cambelts not been done, use that to get the price down to under 6k as there expensice on the RS models.

Nobody buys them these days but originally they were the only exhaust out there for the 172's so there are a few about, personally I prefer them to the twin magnex ones you often see about that tend to sit on the piss.
Its not a barry boys exhaust but I wouldn't look to keep it, look on the bright side the standard item would of fallen off by now anyway so that one whilst it looks pish will bide you some time to save up for something more subtle, also the bumper hasn't been cut which is another plus point and finally you could get 150 notes for it on ebay.

£5800 tops providing the belts been done, check those speedlines for corrosion/ curbage.

I'm sure i have seen that car going around Portlethen (a wee town outside Aberdeen where i live) but not for a while as he has it now..

I remember the silly exhaust, as there wasn't any in aberdeen with that exhaust i think.

Make sure its had all the belts done as said as this is how much i was to get mine done :S

As it'll be due the cambelt this year (5yrs old or 72,000 miles-whatevers the soonest) and the Auxillary belt should be done (it gets done at 36,000 miles with the service)

I went to Mackie motors to get it done as Evans Halshaw in Aberdeen was a rip off 600-700 odd quid.

I'd say £5500-£5800 because as said you can get a 182 for what he's asking

And what kinda warranty is he giving etc ?

And if you head south theres more chance of getting a better deal

There's a few up here but want one with triangular headlights and not too many miles on. Travelling afar to look at motors is a pain, especially on puplic transport. lol

And 20 odd cars is a lot to have in your driveway for sale, must be a bloody big drive way or have a lockup somewhere
