g-tech 0-60 times

ok, ill start it off then. post your private test track/driveway 0-60 times here. i had a quick blast sat morning (on the driveway) and averaged 7.06 in my (modded) valver. reckon i can get this down a bit.

thanks to steve for prompt delivery of my g-tech unit.

Best of 6.56. Averaged 6.82. Fat Slow 172.

Seems a little bit... erm...dodgy. Difficult to set perfectly and very easy to manipulate the readings. But good fun. And the first time Ive ever atttempted standing starts. I think I could smeel my clutch burning. lol.

flat road with tilt on 0.0. On my own, perfect start 5.61. With my 16stone m8 and a big pram in the boot 6.1. 1/4 mile was a bit off...14.7 @ 98 with 2 people in

Ive only had one go in mine (didnt have enough petrol for any more lol) but I managed a 10.03 which I am very pleased with as the standard for my car is 11.1 and an exhaust is the only modification :D Mine is a Mk1 1.4RT BTW

I reckon I will quite easily get below 10 if I have a couple more goes at it.

Mine was 7.06 average in my standard engined Valver with a different gearbox. 1/4 mile was 15.09, and I went 15.04 the other week at York.

See ya

Matt

10.05 about right, am running on rather flat tyres at the moment so will try again once i have the right pressures in. Happy with that though. Quarter mile was something like mailto:17.78@77.3">17.78@77.3, but i think i stopped accelrating too early

is that in a 182? sounds amazingly quick!

and roy doesnt the 182 have an optimum gear change light?

hmmmm i still havnt had achance to use mine yet :( need to extend my driveway ;) when i tryed to set it up it reads 0.0 and when u accelerate away it reads wierd small numbers and im guessing once u hit around 60 it flashes up a time?

they are a bit of fun.^^^^
And thats all. But for £25, who cares??!! I just wish there were more perfectly flat roads near me. Used an ever-so slight downhill and got a 5.8, which is nearly a second quicker than the best on the flat. lol.

BUT if you use the same peice of road and the same settings, it could be a handy tool for comparisons before/after mods etc.

lol.... Pointless you getting one Roy. If your still on your first set of PE2s you obviously drive like a gay and couldnt get under 10 seconds to 60.

When it reads 0.0. Push the button. Itll then start flashing --GO--. So you go! :D Will flash up your 0-60 time when you hit 60 yes. Will keep timing (timing for a 1/4 mile). You can either continue onwards or if you slow down a bit, itll know youre not going for the 1/4 and show you the 0-60 time.

I had a go with mine last night. Only did two runs (mainly due to the petrol situation at the mo!). Very flat road. Got 6.40 and 6.28 secs. Which isnt bad for my first two attempts. Never heard my tyres make that noise before though

Been doing a few runs and my best was 19.33 @ 73.4 mph in my 99 1.2 8v Grande changing a wee bit early. Stripped and redlined I should make mid to late 18s.

5.97 is my best so far. Need to try it with my 15s though.

That reminds me...time to change the avatar! lol (Good time steve2004 - ;))
