G220 Advice!

I was lucky that my wife bought me a G220 for crimbo, which was nice, she got me a "polishing pad, cutting pad and a finshing pad" but no product, I have meguiars gold class liquid car wax can I use this with the G220? and I have some plast-rx which I am wanting to use on the headlights because they are glazzed will that be ok with the G220? but what I wanted to mostly ask was what to use with the G220? and which pad to use?

For correction, a mixture of the latter two should suffice on Renault paint, when it comes to the G220.

The wax is average at best, and not best by machine from memory. PlastX will be OK by machine, the key being to be careful and check your work and the area regularly. If the area is getting hot (I would be VERY surprised with a G220) stop.

Polishes wise, I guess it's down to personal experience and therefore preference. I find the Menzerna products to be mighty fine polishes. However, I have mixed up heavier jobs with some 3M hard compounds. I would start with some Menzerna 85re and see how you get on. If the results are not to your satisfaction, move up a grade, then refine with the 85re.

The 80/83 twins? I found them to be very oily...
