G220 starter pack...

Im probably being lazy but im looking to get one of these, im a complete novice but want to remove some light swirls on my bonnet and generally the same all over the car..

So kind of looking for a pack that will do exactly that remove swirls and finish etc ...

Im confused with what glazes are aswell :rasp: If i have any marks i usually use AG paint renovater, AG super resin, Nattys wax in that order, never used a glaze...

Got about 250 to spend :)

Cheers Rob

good set of polishes to start you off tbh, glazes claim to add a little more shine to the paintwork if your going to Machine polish it then i wouldnt bother just get a good sealant/wax

If you machine polish it properly and use a nice finishing polish such as Menzerna Final Finish a glaze will add little or nothing to the look.

SOnus pads good ? been reading reviews and they dont seem the best, however merzerna gets great reviews, is the power gloss to remove RDS and swirls or is intensive used for that. :) Cheers

Sonus SFX pads are very good, where did you read the bad reviews ?

Intensive Polish should be enough Powergloss is quite harsh.

Never used the Sonus polishes so would not like to comment, The SFX pads are good. Is there a kit with Menzerna Polishes ?

We do a couple of kits based on Menzerna.

One the Menzerna pads with the set of polishes. The other comprises a litre of Intensive Polish (now called Power Finish) and Final Finish, a small bottle of Power Gloss and the Sonus pads.

If you need correction then the pure Menzerna kit is the one to go for. For a lighter approach teh Sonus and Menzerna.

The Sonus Kit in my opinion is the best entry level kit. It's very easy to use, the compounds aren't very aggressive and break down nice and easy. The downside obviously is if you do find it isn't cutting enough then yo'd need to get some menzerna in.

They take ages to break down so you have to work them for a fair while - the Menz is more tempremental, but when on form, they are far easier to use.

Feel free to come to mine if you want to try the Menz out before buying some, I have all of the range.
